ANSI CLASS 52-3 ceramic suspension insulator

ANSI CLASS 52-3 ceramic suspension insulator is designed to link together into strings, typically of two or more, to provide much higher voltage protection than any single insulator.

ANSI CLASS 52-3 ceramic suspension insulator is identified using the ST (Suspension Type) numbering system recently developed by Orient Power. This system covers both glass and porcelain suspension insulator worldwide. ANSI CLASS 52-3 ceramic suspension insulator is typically used on high tension power transmission towers. Porcelain is by far the most commonly used insulating material but there are a number of glass and composite styles as well. Ceramic suspension insulators revolutionized the power distribution industry allowing much higher voltage protection -- there are several 1,000kV DC transmission lines utilizing ANSI CLASS 52-3 ceramic suspension insulator.
